Ingredients:
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions:
- Brown the Beef:
- Season beef strips with salt and pepper; dust with flour. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and brown beef in batches.
- Sauté Vegetables:
- Remove beef; add onions and mushrooms to skillet until softened.
- Make the Sauce:
- Add beef broth; bring to a simmer. Return beef to skillet; stir in sour cream until heated through.
- Serve:
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.
Cooking Tips:
- For added flavor, use Worcestershire sauce in the broth.
